The Bank Guarantee Fund is active in the international arena.<\/p>\n
The Fund is a member of international organizations affiliating deposit guarantee institutions on both a European level (i.e. European Forum of Deposit Insurers – EFDI<\/a>) and a global level (i.e.\u00a0International Association of Deposit Insurers – IADI<\/a>). These organizations provide a forum for exchange of experiences among associated institutions. Joint initiatives allow for standardizing regulations and increase their efficiency.\u00a0As part of its involvement in the international arena, the Bank Guarantee Fund analyses operations of foreign deposit guarantee schemes.\u00a0In particular, this applies to the countries in which credit institutions operating on the Polish territory have their registered offices.<\/p>\n Bilateral agreements are also an important element of BFG\u2019s international cooperation.
