{"id":1928,"date":"2019-02-19T13:54:09","date_gmt":"2019-02-19T12:54:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bfg.pl\/?page_id=1928"},"modified":"2026-03-17T08:58:17","modified_gmt":"2026-03-17T07:58:17","slug":"material-scope","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/bfg.pl\/en\/for-depositors\/deposit-guarantee-principles\/material-scope\/","title":{"rendered":"What is covered?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Coverage extends to funds held in accounts with banks and cooperative savings and credit unions (in PLN and foreign currencies) where you are the account holder.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Coverage also includes:<\/p>\n<p><strong>in the event of a bank or branch of a foreign bank<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>other claims related to demand deposits and term deposits,<\/li>\n<li>claims from payment and settlement services provided by the bank,<\/li>\n<li>funeral expenses and estate settlement costs that become due before the institution fails,<\/li>\n<li>bank securities documented by registered instruments, provided they were issued before 2 July 2014.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>in the event of a cooperative savings and credit union:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0other depositor claims arising under the depositor accounts maintained by the savings and credit union,<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0depositor claims arising under the financial settlements pursued by the savings and credit union,<\/li>\n<li>the amounts spent on the funeral expenses of the account holder and on the disposal of the deposit in the event of the account holder demise, as long as they come due prior to the date of meeting the guarantee condition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The following are excluded from coverage:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>share capital, entry fees, and membership contributions (these are own funds of the institution, not deposits),<\/li>\n<li>dormant accounts with balances below \u20ac2.50, where you have no other covered deposits,<\/li>\n<li>electronic money (e-money).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Coverage extends to funds held in accounts with banks and cooperative savings and credit unions (in PLN and foreign currencies) where you are the account holder.
